Thanks for the replies, so does this mean I can go to Ember or wherever there is a skill trainer with my skill points and start buying them all? Or can they only be unlocked with a new PvE character?

Then you bought it from the wrong retailer. I bought from EB, paid a $5 deposit toward the full game and received a nice box with a CD, a booklet and the paper with the access key. Perhaps you can go back to the retailer and they'll give you a preorder box. Maybe you put your order in before they'd received the boxes?

this is a load of crap. Best Buy said that the entire package will be shipped to me. what sense does it make to send me the preview key after the friggin game has been released.

everyone plese remember...
theres a diffrence between the pre order boxes, depending on where in the world you are...

we UK folks dont get the blasted friend-keys to let a friend trial GW:P at all....be they in a retail box side or an online order side...which was one of the main reasons i wanted to snag a pre order box in the first place....

oh, and to the deleating of char....are you sure they will be deled, and not just whiped of skills/items/cash ect and reset to lvl 1 so that you can keep the names?
(hopeing its that way....i can live with not having any items, armours ect that i had as a spankey lvl2o in the test, but i would hate to loose a name i spent a while getting together cause the whole thing got cleaned out lol)

If the characters get wiped, the name will become free again. So all you have to do is roll any old generic PvP character in that slot with the name you want and leave it sit there until the Factions release.

You will keep the names, just as you said, those characters will be reset to level 1 and wiped out all skills items, etc., but the characters will remain in your account.

NOPE

everything except unlocked skills are wiped.

nothing is kept in inventory as that character is reset

But you don't need the preview key if you have a current GW account - you have access to the FPE either on an empty slot on your account, or by sending yourself one of your invites and creating a new account just for the FPE.

Hey Gaile. If you're still around. I was wondering about something.

The 12v12 Alliance battles. It's mentioned that it is 3 squads of 4....

How are the parties formed? Does one player accept the 11 other players, and they're sorted based on character order. Or do you put together your squad of 4 players (similar to Team Arena), and you're matched with another two squads randomly?

I can see pros and cons for both. In fact, I'd like to see both. But if it is the latter, I think a lot of the worry about "l33t PvP" guilds winning everything is misplaced. After all. YOU could be fighting alongside those guilds.

He said PVP UNLOCKS will be maintained.

If u find an armor during PVE in the preview event, u identify it and find a ritualist rune for example (or a new weapon upgrade, or capping a new elite), ur account will have it unlocked from that moment on.

This sounds great, and I've got a PvP slot I don't mind making into a PvE char for a weekend. I gave away my invites to friends and random passers-by at another forum, so I'll be there to help them out.
